Students in Mrs. Durham’s first grade class did their own research and writing about pandas. They even learned how to insert and resize clip art!
Students in Mrs. Callaway’s 5th grade class had the opportunity to combine field day and the Olympic theme with a fun Skype activity. First they took a “trip” to the Netherlands using Google Earth. On field day, Mrs. Callaway’s class represented the Netherlands, and it just so happens that her son lives there! Students got to ask a lot of questions!
Third grade classes spent the day researching their chosen person that they will recreate themselves as for the Living History Museum.
Check out one of the cute Blabberize videos created by first grade. After researching and gaining knowledge about their choice of animal. They wrote about their findings and recorded their voices as the animal “talked”!
Fourth graders learned more about explorers by researching individuals and creating a PowerPoint to demonstrate what they learned. Students were required to site their sources as well.
